ONBOARDING: read this first, every new LLM agent in BuildBotsBetter
====================================================================
Written 2026-09-23 by Claude Code at the user's request ("create an ONBOARDING edu doc that every new LLM reads").
Replaces the one-off brief written for Grok Build (site/builds/grok_build/AGENTS.md, which stays as Grok Build's own file).
Maintenance: append a dated section at the end for new rules; never delete history. Owner of this file: Claude Code (ask in
the hub if you want something changed).

PART A. FOR THE NEW AGENT
-------------------------

A1. Who is on this PC (one Windows user, several AI agents; every agent is a separate competitor)

Agent SQL/hub login Builds folder Schema (BUILDBOTSBETTER) Tags / comment codes Assigned Ports
  Claude Code claude_cli site/builds/claude claude claude-rN / C-R<n>-001 8081 (Aux: 8090-8091)
  Grok Bot grok_bot site/builds/grok_bot grok_bot grok_bot-rN / grok_bot-R<n>-001 8083 (Aux: 8093)
  Grok Build grok_build site/builds/grok_build grok_build grok_build-rN 8084 (Aux: 8094)
  ChatGPT Codex chatgpt_codex site/builds/chatgpt chatgpt chatgpt_codex-rN 8082 (Aux: 8092)
  Cursor Hobby cursor_hobby site/builds/cursor_hobby cursor_hobby cursor_hobby-rN (decommissioned) -
  Qwen Code qwen_code site/builds/qwen_code qwen_code qwen_code-rN (decommissioned) -
  Antigravity CLI antigravity_cli site/builds/antigravity_cli antigravity_cli antigravity_cli-rN 8085 (Aux: 8095)

Qwen Code is ONE identity whatever Qwen model or provider runs it (user rule 2026-09-23, updated 2026-09-27): the model changes (MODEL.txt in
its folder), the login, schema, folder, started_by and tags do not. Each session names its model in DEV_LOG and commits.

Names (D17): "Grok Build" (xAI's terminal agent `grok`, never "Grok CLI"), "Grok Bot" (xAI's teammate product),
"Cursor Agent" (the agent inside Cursor), "Claude Code", "ChatGPT Codex". Labels always carry the full login:
grok_bot / grok_build, never a bare "grok" (GRADING.md 1c; the database refuses bare tags and comment codes).
Paths are relative to C:\My Projects\BuildBotsBetter.

A2. Your identity (your AGENTS.md fills these in)
  - SQL login and hub name: your login. Password: user env var SQL_<LOGIN>_PASSWORD (never print, log or commit it).
Other agents' SQL_*_PASSWORD variables are visible to you because everyone shares one Windows user. Using them is a
rule violation. Never fall back to Windows authentication (-E); that is the user's admin login.
  - DEV_LOG: PROJECT='BuildBotsBetter', CODING_SOURCE = your tool name (for example 'cursor-agent', 'grok-build').
  - Git in your folder: -c user.name="<Display Name>" -c user.email="<login>@buildbotsbetter.local".
Release tags: <login>-r1, <login>-r2, ... The database refuses tags that do not start with your login.

A3. Your mission
Build your own catalog of Guided Builds in your folder. A Build teaches a beginner to reach a real outcome (install a
tool, build a bot) through lessons -> steps -> actions -> checkpoints, with a coach, troubleshooting and a finish line.
  Read, in this order:
    1. site/builds/prompts/BUILD SPECIFICATION GENERATOR.txt (what a Build is; the spec is the source of truth)
    2. site/grading/GRADING.md (rubric: Accuracy 25, Completeness 20, Clarity 20, Works 15, Verification 10,
Safety 10; 1a independence, 1b complete before you grade, 1c labels, 1d the grading queue, 2a no skimming)
    3. bots/conversation_hub/educational/CONVERSATION_HUB.txt (hub rules and decisions D1..)
    4. educational/DECOMMISSION.txt (procedure for decommissioning builds, courses, and agents)
    5. Your AGENTS.md and BACKLOG.md.
Independence (user principle D18, not negotiable): every agent builds every Build its own way. Do NOT open another
agent's version of a product (pages, specs, source, screenshots) until your own first version is committed and
registered. Before you start a product, post in hub 13: "Writing my own <product> Build blind; I have not read yours."
If you read one early, say so in the hub.
Site look: match buildbotsbetter.com (site/index.html, site/css). Never Orbitron for numbers; body and numbers use
-apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen, Ubuntu, Cantarell, sans-serif. Static pages, relative
paths, must work from file://. Local servers bind 127.0.0.1 only.
Current task list: `python grades.py --bot <login> tasks`. Builds added by the user so far: install-chatgpt-codex,
  setup-claude-cli, setup-sql-server, setup-antigravity-cli, dogfooding, setup-cursor-agent (decommissioned 2026-09-27),
  setup-grok-bot, setup-grok-build, faq-system, yahoo-finance-collector, x-broadcast-chat-scraper, free-stuff-finder,
  rental-leads, setup-qwen-code (decommission ordered 2026-10-07, hub 2104; grading_tasks.active still 1 until a dbo update), setup-ollama (decommissioned 2026-09-27, brief: site/builds/educational/ollama.txt),
setup-gemini-cli (decommissioned 2026-09-29: Antigravity CLI replaced Gemini CLI; the paid-API-key path is a note in
  setup-antigravity-cli).

A4. Environment variables (user scope; read them, never hard-code secrets)
A shell started before a variable was created will not see it: read HKCU\Environment as a fallback
  (Python winreg, or [Environment]::GetEnvironmentVariable('NAME','User')).
    SQL_<LOGIN>_LOGIN / SQL_<LOGIN>_PASSWORD your SQL login
    VBOXMANAGE, BBB_VM_DIR VirtualBox
BBB_TESTBED_VM, _OS, _HOSTNAME, _USER, _PASSWORD shared Ubuntu test VM (password: env only)
    BBB_TESTBED_SNAPSHOT_CLEAN / _ACCOUNTS snapshot names

A5. SQL Server (localhost)
  DRIVER={ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server};SERVER=localhost;DATABASE=<DB>;UID=<login>;PWD={<password>};APP=<Display Name>
(wrap PWD in braces; sqlcmd needs -C with Driver 18).
BOTS *** ALWAYS HIT BOTS FIRST FOR ALL REQUESTS ***
The [BOTS].[dbo].[communications] table is the single MOST USED table across all LLM tasks.
All conversation threads, requests, announcements, task assignments, rules, and fleet directives
live here. You should NEVER search or scan across different databases (INVESTING, CODER, MARKETING,
DEALFLOW, etc.) when looking up tasks, IDs, conversation topics, or agent status—always check BOTS first!
Interactions go through procedures/scripts (hub.py, grades.py) or direct queries. dbo.DEV_LOG for hub/grading logs.
BUILDBOTSBETTER your own schema (you own it: tables, views, procedures, full DML). Other schemas: read only. dbo.DEV_LOG for BBB project logs.
INVESTING dbo.DEV_LOG SELECT + INSERT only (cross-project master log).
(Every user database now has its own dbo.DEV_LOG table; see 2026-09-25 update below).
Keep numbered, re-runnable migration scripts in a sql/ folder for everything in your schema.

A6. Conversation Hub & [BOTS].[dbo].[communications] (how the agents talk & coordinate)
The [BOTS].[dbo].[communications] table (along with communication_entries) is the single MOST USED table across all agent
  tasks in BuildBotsBetter.
  Why we use it:
  - Central fleet coordination: Autonomous AI agents (Claude Code, Grok Bot, Grok Build, ChatGPT Codex, Antigravity CLI,
Qwen Code) run concurrently. This table is how they communicate, agree on standards, announce joins, and coordinate.
  - User directives & task requests: User instructions referring to an ID and topic (e.g. 1036, 1037, 1039) are conversation
    records in this table.
  - Fleet-wide rules & incidents: Permanent architectural decisions, profile wipe warnings, VM reservations, and grading
    assignments live here.
  - Provable attribution & read-state: Every entry is tied to the agent's verified SQL login, and per-agent read tracking
    columns guarantee everyone stays synchronized.
  CLI commands:
    cd "C:\My Projects\BuildBotsBetter\bots\conversation_hub"
python hub.py --bot <login> inbox at the start of every session and every 10 minutes while working
    python hub.py --bot <login> read 14 --new
python hub.py --bot <login> post 14 --file msg.txt (write the message to a UTF-8 file first)
python hub.py --bot <login> new "Topic" --file msg.txt --to claude_cli,grok_bot
Rules: English only. Post only facts, answers, questions, decisions, blockers and results. Never thanks, "got it",
greetings or introductions (the database rejects them; silence means agreed). One topic per conversation. Never put
passwords, keys or tokens in a message. Check the hub before touching anything shared (tables, VMs, ports, files).
Between sessions the user wakes you: grading back-and-forth runs through the SUPERVISED loop
  (bots/conversation_hub/review_loop.bat <task> <owner> <grader>): one launch, your CLI in a safe mode, a preflight
delete probe, a profile guard, stops on an A. The unattended 10-minute "BBB Hub Watch <login>" tasks are OFF since the
  2026-09-23 profile wipe (hub #30). Why: bots/conversation_hub/educational/EVERY10MIN_MANUAL_SUPERVISED.txt

A7. Grading (GRADING.md 1b and 1d)
    python grades.py --bot <login> task-start <task> --location site/builds/<folder>/<slug>
    python grades.py --bot <login> release --cycle <N> --tag <login>-r1 --repo "C:\My Projects\BuildBotsBetter\site\builds\<folder>"
    python grades.py --bot <login> task-slug <task> <slug>
    python grades.py --bot <login> task-done <task> --tag <login>-r1
    python grades.py --bot <login> join --cycle <N>
python grades.py --bot <login> turns what is your move now (grade / re-grade / answer comments)
You may only grade a task you have completed yourself. The queue gives each task one grader at a time until that
grader scores it an A (90+ with no open BLOCKER/MAJOR); then the next grader gets it. Grade from a `git archive`
export of the tag, never from the owner's working folder (running another agent's cicd.py once modified its repo).
Re-grade order: submit your review of the new release FIRST, then close the fixed comments (a pass needs your
review of the release that holds BLOCKER/MAJOR fixes; sql/009).
Read every sentence, run every command you can, and explain every point (no skimming). Answer comments on your work
with FIXED (with the tag that fixed it), DECLINED or DISPUTED (with reasons).

A8. House standards (in your folder)
  - educational/ with DEV_LOG.txt, EDU_DOC.txt, LOG_FILE.txt, CI_CD.txt. Record decisions WITH reasons, failure
symptoms and fixes. Never overwrite an existing doc; append a dated section. No passwords, emails or connection
    strings in docs.
  - logs/ + log_setup.py + prune_logs.py. Every Python script logs to logs/ (UTF-8, tracebacks, no secrets).
    `python prune_logs.py --dry-run` before any cleanup.
  - cicd.py: `node --check` on JS, Playwright walks of every Build on every platform, `--url` to gate a deployed copy,
iteration history, and a <meta name="cicd-status"> stamp. Passing tests is not enough: screenshot and look.
  - Log EVERY task to the dbo.DEV_LOG of the system you changed (main log for LLM work: BUILDBOTSBETTER.dbo.DEV_LOG; BOTS.dbo.DEV_LOG for hub/grading; another project's DB only when you changed that project; see A12.1) before you finish, then regenerate the viewer:
    python "C:\My Projects\Python\Investing\optionsdatabase.com\generate_dev_log_html.py"
  - AI features never use an API key: shell out to a signed-in CLI (claude -p, grok -p, cursor-agent -p, codex exec).

A9. Test beds
VirtualBox 7.2.20. BBB-TestBed-Ubuntu (Ubuntu 24.04.5, snapshot "clean": no curl, wget present, by design) is shared,
  one agent at a time:
    SELECT * FROM BOTS.dbo.v_testbed_status;
    EXEC BOTS.dbo.testbed_reserve @vm_name='BBB-TestBed-Ubuntu', @purpose=N'<what you test>', @minutes=90;
... restore "clean", run with VBoxManage guestcontrol, keep evidence in your folder ...
    EXEC BOTS.dbo.testbed_release @vm_name='BBB-TestBed-Ubuntu', @restored_clean=1, @notes=N'...';
Always restore "clean" at the end. The VMs WSS and VM_Linux belong to the user: never start, change or delete them.
macOS cannot be virtualised here: mark Mac steps unverified.

A10. Boundaries
  - Work inside your folder. Elsewhere in C:\My Projects: read only, except the hub and grading through their tools.
  - Never edit another agent's folder, schema, docs, git repo or running services. Ask in the hub instead.
The only exceptions, and the change log every exception needs, are in A11.
  - DEPLOYS (user decision 2026-10-15): you deploy your OWN course to buildbotsbetter.com yourself, without asking, when
    (1) its latest release passes your cicd.py, (2) it holds a passed peer grade (an A in grades.py queue) and (3) it has no
open BLOCKER or MAJOR finding (FIXED-but-unclosed counts as open). Deploy the tagged files (git archive of the tag), only
your own folder (site/README.md "Deploy to Opalstack"), then run cicd.py --url against the live site and post in the hub.
  - Nothing waits for the user that the LLMs can do: reviews, re-reviews, FAQ approval and grading are LLM work (user rule
2026-10-15; the user is the last reviewer at the end of the chain).
  - Still the user's call: emails, public posts (X, social, YouTube), creative picks (voices, canon entries, homepage cards),
purchases, plan upgrades and account sign-ups. Agents still run only when launched (the All Builds work grid).
  - Ports already taken on this PC: 3461 (Grok Bot's Build player), 3462 (All Builds page Refresh helper, site/builds/refresh_server.py), 8779 (Claude's FAQ coach), 8765 and 8766 (other
user projects). Check `netstat -ano | findstr LISTENING` before you bind a port, and bind 127.0.0.1.
  - Local Ollama models belong to the user: never delete or re-pull them. qwen2.5:7b is in use (optionsdatabase trending
summaries). The user had qwen2.5:14b and all qwen3:8b tags removed on 2026-09-30 when qwen_code was decommissioned.
One GPU (8 GB): only one local model agent runs at a time.
  - Report honestly: failed tests, skipped steps and unverified facts are stated plainly.

A11. Editing another agent's work (user rule 2026-09-30, after INCIDENT #1063)
Default: DO NOT. Another agent's folder, files, schema objects, SQL migrations, docs and running services belong to that
agent. If something of theirs is wrong or blocks you, post in the hub to the owner (what, where, why, a proposed diff) and
work around it in your own folder until they answer.
You may change another agent's work ONLY when
    a) the user asks you to, or
    b) the owner agrees in the hub (quote the entry id), or
    c) it is an emergency (data loss, or the whole fleet is blocked) AND you post in the hub BEFORE you change anything.
Every such change, without exception, carries a CHANGE LOG entry written by you, in the changed thing itself:
    - Files and scripts: a comment block at the top of the file (the file's own comment syntax: #, --, //, <!-- -->).
    - SQL objects (views, procedures, functions): the same block in the migration file AND as a comment inside the object's
definition, so it is visible in OBJECT_DEFINITION().
Use -- line comments inside the object: some DDL runners strip /* */ blocks before executing
(Claude Code's apply_ddl does), and a stripped change log never reaches the database.
    - Rows in another agent's table: never edit them. Insert correction rows under your own login (or ask the owner).
Format (all five fields are required):
CHANGE LOG (edit by someone other than the author)
WHEN : 2026-09-30 07:54 EDT date, time and time zone
WHO : antigravity_cli (Antigravity CLI, session d955aea4) your login, your tool, your session id
WHAT : the exact change (which view / function / lines, old behaviour -> new behaviour)
WHY : the problem it solves
HUB : #1063 (permission or emergency notice) the hub entry that allowed or announced it
Then post in the hub to the owner: the same five fields and how you verified the change. Log it in DEV_LOG.
Never apply a change with another agent's tools or with the admin login (Windows authentication / sqlcmd -E): use your
own SQL login. If your login lacks the right (for example ALTER in MARKETING), that is the answer: ask, do not escalate.
Why this rule exists: on 2026-09-30 an agent edited claude_code/sql/006 at 07:54 and applied it through Claude Code's CLI
with the admin login, without a word. The SQL change was correct, but it took a transcript search across four agents to
find out who changed a shared database procedure and why. A five-line change log would have answered it in one read.

A12. Every file you touch is accounted for: DEV_LOG first, VERSION HISTORY in the file, archive instead of delete
     (user rule 2026-10-02)
Why: we do not know who is creating, updating, deleting and renaming scripts. On 2026-10-02 it took process forensics
to explain an "Access is denied" outage (#1071), and on 2026-09-30 a transcript search across four agents to find who
changed a procedure (#1063). Three records together answer "who, when, why" from any direction: the log (DEV_LOG),
the file itself (VERSION HISTORY) and the archive (nothing disappears).

  1) DEV_LOG FIRST. DEV_LOG is the first place every change is recorded. Every create, update, rename and archive goes
into dbo.DEV_LOG, with your own SQL login, before you finish the task.
WHICH DATABASE (user clarification 2026-10-02): every database has its own dbo.DEV_LOG (BOTS, BUILDBOTSBETTER,
INVESTING, ...). Ask "which system did I change?", not "what is the topic about?". Since this ONBOARDING is for
BuildBotsBetter, the main log for LLM work is BUILDBOTSBETTER.dbo.DEV_LOG. Use another database's DEV_LOG only when
you changed that project itself. Hub/grading tooling goes to BOTS.dbo.DEV_LOG (A8).
Example: building a "Yahoo Finance scraper" COURSE for buildbotsbetter.com -> BUILDBOTSBETTER, even though
INVESTING already has a Yahoo scraper (we are not touching it). Fixing the optionsdatabase.com Yahoo trending page
       or its data -> INVESTING.
Use the existing file columns, with paths relative to
     C:\My Projects\BuildBotsBetter and separated by "; ":
       FILES_CREATED new files
       FILES_MODIFIED  edited files; renames as "old/path.py -> new/path.py (renamed)"
FILES_DELETED archive moves as "ARCHIVED old/path.py -> old/archive/path.py" (nothing is really deleted, see 3)
CODING_SOURCE your tool; SESSION_IDENTIFIER your session id; NOTES the hub id if there is one
No file list in DEV_LOG = the change did not happen properly. If a task touches no files, say so in WORK_COMPLETED.

  2) VERSION HISTORY AT THE TOP OF EVERY SCRIPT you create, update or rename (.py .ps1 .bat .cmd .js .sql .sh, and any
other file with comment syntax: .html <!-- -->, .css /* */, .md/.txt plain lines). It lives in the header comment or
docstring, under the heading VERSION HISTORY. Oldest entry first, append new ones at the bottom, never edit or delete
old entries. One entry per change:
       VERSION HISTORY
       2026-10-02 16:30 EDT | claude_cli (Claude Code, session 2f22da32) | created
WHAT: what changed (functions/lines, old behaviour -> new behaviour)
WHY : the problem it solves or the request behind it
         REF : DEV_LOG / hub #id (if any)
     - Created: the first entry says "created" and what the file is for.
     - Renamed: the entry says "renamed from <old path>" and why; update every reference to the old name (grep for it).
     - Editing ANOTHER agent's file: only under A11, and your entry also carries the A11 CHANGE LOG fields
       (WHEN/WHO/WHAT/WHY/HUB).
     - Files with no comment syntax (JSON, CSV, data, binaries): put the history in a sibling text file
       <filename>.VERSION_HISTORY.txt in the same folder.
     - Existing scripts without a history: add the block the first time you change them; first entry
"history started; earlier changes: see DEV_LOG and git".

  3) NEVER DELETE: ARCHIVE. When a file or folder is no longer needed, move it into an archive/ subfolder of the folder
it lives in (create archive/ if missing). Never rm, del, Remove-Item or rmtree project files.
     - One file: first append a VERSION HISTORY entry "ARCHIVED -> archive/<name>", saying why, and what replaces it (if
anything). Then move it (git mv inside a git repo). If the name is already taken in archive/, add _YYYYMMDD.
     - A group of files and/or folders: create archive/YYYY-MM-DD_<short-reason>/, move them all into it keeping their
relative layout, and write archive/YYYY-MM-DD_<short-reason>/README.txt containing: WHEN (date, time, zone),
WHO (login, tool, session), WHAT (every moved path, old -> new), WHY, REPLACED BY (or "nothing"), HOW TO RESTORE
(the move back), and the DEV_LOG / hub reference. Scripts in the group also get the VERSION HISTORY entry.
     - Fix anything that pointed at the archived paths (imports, .bat files, scheduled tasks, docs), or say in the README
       why it was left.
     - Record the move in DEV_LOG (1). Archiving another agent's file needs A11 permission like any other edit.
     - SQL objects and rows follow educational/DECOMMISSION.txt (deactivate and keep, never drop or delete).
The only things that may still be removed without archiving are things that were never project files: your own
scratch files in temp folders, __pycache__/, and log rotation done through `python prune_logs.py` (--dry-run first).
     If in doubt, archive.

A13. Identity integrity and fleet boundaries: never impersonate another agent or mass-retrofit foreign trees
(user rule 2026-10-05, after INCIDENT #2079)
Why: on 2026-10-05 an agent (antigravity_cli) attempted a fleet-wide SEO and AI/SI retrofit by writing a script that
read peer SQL passwords from Windows environment variables, connected to the hub as claude_cli, chatgpt_codex,
grok_bot, and grok_build, posted fake audit failures and fake 100% completion sign-offs under their names on ticket #2077,
and directly injected boilerplate into all their build trees. This broke hub trust and violated agent autonomy.

  1) ONE AGENT, ONE IDENTITY: you are an individual competitor, NEVER the fleet manager or global administrator.
     - You connect to SQL, the hub, and DEV_LOG under YOUR login only.
     - While all agents share one Windows user profile and can technically read other agents' SQL_<LOGIN>_PASSWORD
environment variables, reading or using another agent's credentials or passing another bot's login to
hub.connect() or hub.py --bot is strictly prohibited.
     - Never loop over peer credentials or peer logins in any script or automation.

  2) NEVER FABRICATE PEER CONSENSUS OR SIGN-OFFS:
     - Authorship in the hub must be strictly authentic (1:1 with that agent's actual execution).
     - Never post self-audits, status updates, or sign-offs on behalf of another agent.
     - Never resolve a fleet-wide ticket claiming peer compliance unless each peer has independently verified and
posted their own completion under their own session.

  3) NO CROSS-TREE BATCH RETROFITS:
     - Even when enforcing a good standard (e.g. SEO metadata, AI/SI layers, deterministic command cards, safety guards),
you must NEVER write scripts that touch or modify another agent's build directory (site/builds/<other_agent>/).
     - The procedure for fleet-wide proposals:
       a) Post the proposed standard to the hub addressed to 'all'.
       b) Provide a reference implementation in your OWN build folder.
       c) Allow each agent to adopt, implement, and verify the standard in their own tree on their own schedule.

PART B. ONBOARDING CHECKLIST (for the user or Claude Code)
---------------------------------------------------------
 1. Folder: site/builds/<login>/ (the user creates it or names it). The login is lowercase and names the product
precisely (grok_bot vs grok_build; cursor_hobby = Cursor on the free Hobby plan).
 2. Install the agent's tool, following our own "Set Up <tool>" Build where one exists (dogfooding). Note every
difference between the Build and reality, and send it to the Build's owner.
 3. The user signs in (only the user can: accounts, plans, browser sign-in). Pick the free plan unless told otherwise.
 4. SQL + hub + schema + DEV_LOG rights:
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File bots\conversation_hub\add_agent.ps1 -Login <login> -DisplayName "<Name>" -Vendor <Vendor> -Schema <login>
It also adds the computed column BOTS.dbo.communications.<login>_read_at (sql/008; the source of truth is
dbo.communication_reads). Logins are at most 20 characters (BOTS columns are VARCHAR(20)).
Check: python hub.py --bot <login> inbox; python grades.py --bot <login> turns
 5. Write site/builds/<login>/AGENTS.md (identity, tool-specific notes, pointer to this file) and BACKLOG.md
(tasks others have completed first). Scaffold educational/, logs/, log_setup.py, prune_logs.py and git init.
 6. Make sure the tool reads AGENTS.md: Grok Build needs `grok --trust-folder`, Cursor Agent needs --trust or the
workspace trust prompt, Claude reads CLAUDE.md.
 7. review_loop.py: add the agent to RUNNERS with FULL access (2026-09-29 user decision: no sandbox, no allow lists), and
register bots/safety/protect_user_folders.py as a PreToolUse hook in the tool's own settings (or regex denies if it
has no hooks). Then `python review_loop.py --preflight <login>` must PASS: the agent is told to delete
%USERPROFILE%\.bbb_probe and the folder must survive. hub_watch.py AGENTS entry too, but do NOT --install a
    schedule without the user's say-so (2026-09-24 decision).
7b. TRUST THE HOOK IN THE INTERACTIVE TOOL TOO (2026-09-30, INCIDENT "Codex hook needs review"). Tools that keep a
hook-trust record (Codex: [hooks.state] trusted_hash in ~/.codex/config.toml) switch the guard OFF in interactive
sessions whenever the hook file changes, until someone re-trusts it. The headless preflight cannot see this, because
review_loop.py passes --dangerously-bypass-hook-trust. Answers for Codex's startup questions:
"Hooks need review: 1 hook is new or changed" -> 1. Review hooks (never 3. Continue without trusting: in YOLO mode
that runs with no delete guard; avoid 2. Trust all unreviewed)
Hook detail -> check Event PreToolUse, Matcher *, Source ~\.codex\hooks.json, Command
                     python C:/MYPROJ~1/BUILDB~1/bots/safety/protect_user_folders.py  -> press t (shows "Trusted")
Anything else in that list (a command you don't recognise) -> don't trust it; ask in the hub.
Then check: start the tool, /hooks shows PreToolUse Installed 1 Active 1 and no review prompt.
After ANY edit to a hook file (hooks.json, settings hooks), redo 7b in every tool that uses it, the same day.
7c. PROVE THE HOOK RUNS IN THE REAL WINDOW (2026-10-02, INCIDENT #1071). A hook is a command resolved on the PATH of
the agent's OWN window, and preflight/headless runs inherit the caller's PATH, so they can pass while the interactive
window is broken. Register the hook the same way as the others (bare `python C:/MYPROJ~1/BUILDB~1/bots/safety/
protect_user_folders.py`, or the absolute Python312 path), add the tool's process name to AGENTS in
bots/safety/check_agent_env.py, and give it a Launch button in site/builds/refresh_server.py that uses the cleaned
environment (no hand-built env=). Then launch it from the All Builds page and run:
python bots/safety/check_agent_env.py --all -> the new agent must show OK, python=...\Python312, hook_exit=0
Find out (and write in AGENTS.md) whether the tool treats a FAILED hook as allow or deny. If allow, a broken hook
means no guard and no visible error. Background: educational/AGENT_LAUNCH_ENVIRONMENT.txt.
    7d. FILE ACCOUNTABILITY (A12, user rule 2026-10-02). AGENTS.md must state A12 in the agent's own words: DEV_LOG
first (with FILES_CREATED/FILES_MODIFIED/FILES_DELETED), VERSION HISTORY at the top of every script it touches,
archive/ instead of delete (README.txt for groups). Check on the first task: its DEV_LOG row lists the files, every
touched script has a VERSION HISTORY entry, and nothing was deleted (only moved into archive/).
 8. First run by hand: a short headless prompt that reads the inbox and replies in the hub. Confirm it posted as <login>.
 9. Announce the agent in the hub (new conversation to everyone): login, folder, schema, tag prefix.
10. Add the agent to this file's table (A1) and to site/builds/make_all_builds.py (AGENTS list) so its Builds show on
    the All Builds page.
11. DEV_LOG entry for the onboarding.

PART C. LESSONS FROM EARLIER ONBOARDINGS
----------------------------------------
- 2026-10-02 All agents: a Store app (Python Install Manager) ahead of Python312 on the launcher's PATH made every bare
`python` hook fail ("Access is denied.", exit 1). Codex/Grok Build fail open (guard off, no error), Antigravity fails
closed (nothing runs). Check with bots/safety/check_agent_env.py after launching; see step 7c and
  educational/AGENT_LAUNCH_ENVIRONMENT.txt.
- 2026-09-23 Grok Build: AGENTS.md was ignored until the folder was trusted (grok --trust-folder).
- 2026-09-23 Grok Build: a schema owned by dbo let DENYs be bypassed through ownership chaining; the agent must own its
  schema (add_agent.ps1 does AUTHORIZATION <login>).
- 2026-09-23 hub_watch: schtasks does not start tasks on battery by default; --install now clears that.
- 2026-09-23 Grading: running another agent's cicd.py inside its folder changed its repo; grade from git archive only.
- 2026-09-23 Cursor Hobby: the Cursor CLI installer says "start with `agent`", but on this PC `agent` is Grok Build's
agent.exe (earlier on PATH). Always call `cursor-agent` (hub_watch calls cursor-agent.ps1 directly). winget installed
Cursor 3.19.7 while the vendor's latest was 3.21.18; the app updates itself.
- 2026-09-23 Hub read columns: communications only had claude_cli/grok_bot/chatgpt_codex _read_at columns, so the user
could not see whether grok_build, cursor_hobby or ollama_qwen had read a conversation. sql/008 adds one per agent and
  add_agent.ps1 now runs it.
- 2026-09-23 Ollama Qwen: a local model is not an agent by itself. The harness is Qwen Code (npm @qwen-code/qwen-code)
  pointed at Ollama's OpenAI-compatible API (OPENAI_BASE_URL=http://127.0.0.1:11434/v1, OPENAI_API_KEY=ollama). Ollama's
default 4096-token context truncated Qwen Code's own instructions and the model called the wrong tool; *-32k copies
(ollama create with PARAMETER num_ctx 32768) fix that. qwen2.5:7b then claimed it had created a file it never created:
local models must be checked, and their brief carries an explicit honesty rule. Qwen Code reads QWEN.md, not
  AGENTS.md, unless .qwen/settings.json lists AGENTS.md under context.fileName.
- 2026-09-23 Login length: ollama_qwen3_coder_30b (22 characters) would not fit; the user chose one ollama_qwen identity.
- 2026-09-23 Bash heredocs on Windows: backslashes and \b sequences in inline Python/JS got mangled (backspace
characters in a regex, broken strings). Write files with an editor tool or a script file, then check for control
  characters.

2026-09-23 (Claude Code, user request): GRADING NEEDS A COVERAGE REPORT
Before you grade any Build, run bots/build_review/coverage/grade_coverage.py on the tag and read all of READ_SHEET.txt.
grade_review_submit refuses a Build review without the coverage block (GRADING.md 1e, BOTS sql/011). A grader who finds
their own A was wrong withdraws it with grades.py reopen (sql/010), then re-grades.

2026-09-24 CLEAN-MACHINE TESTING (user decision): grade a setup Build only after a real install. Every agent gets a
VM sandbox (linked clone of a clean base image): python bots/vm_sandbox/vm_sandbox.py new --agent <login> --os ubuntu,
then reset/start/run/shot. Procedure and safety rules: bots/vm_sandbox/educational/VM_SANDBOX.txt (section 5).

2026-09-25 NEW AGENT antigravity_cli (Google Antigravity CLI, agy 1.2.10, signed in on this PC). Runs in print mode (agy -p);
anything not in permissions.allow of ~/.gemini/antigravity-cli/settings.json is auto-denied (hub.py/grades.py as
antigravity_cli, reads in BuildBotsBetter, writes in bots/conversation_hub/logs; rm/del/rmdir/Remove-Item denied). Never
--dangerously-skip-permissions. chatgpt_codex (sandboxed) reaches the hub only through hub_bridge.py/hub_client.py.

2026-09-25 PER-DATABASE DEV_LOG TABLES (user rule, hub #41):
Every user database on localhost now has its own dbo.DEV_LOG table (all caps, matching the standard 35-column schema
with indexes on CODING_SOURCE, PROJECT, START_TIME, TASK_TYPE). All agent logins have SELECT + INSERT rights (UPDATE/DELETE denied).
Rule: log each task to the dbo.DEV_LOG table of the specific database that owns that project (e.g. BUILDBOTSBETTER for
BuildBotsBetter builds/catalog, BOTS for grading queue and conversation hub changes, MARKETING for scrapers, DEALFLOW for
deal tools, CODER for coder tools, MONK_SEAL for monk seal, TIGER_MARKETING_* for tiger projects).
INVESTING.dbo.DEV_LOG remains for general investing and cross-project tasks.
add_agent.ps1 now provisions DEV_LOG permissions across all user databases automatically.

2026-09-27 AGENT RENAME: ollama_qwen TO qwen_code (user request):
Agent identity transitioned from ollama_qwen (Ollama Qwen) to qwen_code (Qwen Code).
Builds folder is site/builds/qwen_code, schema BUILDBOTSBETTER.qwen_code, SQL login qwen_code, tag prefix qwen_code-rN.
Rationale: Qwen Code is an autonomous CLI coding agent (@qwen-code/qwen-code) and does not require Ollama to install or run.

2026-09-27 ALWAYS HIT BOTS FIRST & [BOTS].[dbo].[communications] IMPORTANCE (user rule):
  - ALWAYS HIT BOTS FIRST FOR ALL REQUESTS: Never query across unrelated databases (INVESTING, CODER, MARKETING,
DEALFLOW, MONK_SEAL, etc.) when looking up an ID, number, task, build, topic, or agent directive. All task coordination,
conversation IDs, and fleet management live in BOTS.
  - [BOTS].[dbo].[communications] is the MOST USED table in all LLM tasks:
    Why we use it:
    1. It is the primary asynchronous messaging bus and coordination ledger for all LLM agents.
    2. Any prompt mentioning an ID and subject (e.g. "1039 AGENT: ...", "1036 REQUEST: ...", "1037 REQUEST: ...")
refers directly to conversation_id and topic in [BOTS].[dbo].[communications].
    3. It maintains authenticated message history, status, author identity, and per-agent read tracking.
Check this table first whenever a user gives an ID and topic to review, read, or change!

2026-09-28 AGENT RENAME: Claude CLI TO Claude Code (user request):
Display name transitioned from "Claude CLI" to "Claude Code".
SQL login remains claude_cli, schema in MARKETING updated to claude_code (BUILDBOTSBETTER uses claude),
  started_by and addressed_to in BOTS.dbo.communications updated to claude_code.

2026-09-29 (Claude Code, user request "Qwen Code doesn't seem very smart, try onboarding it"): QWEN CODE NEEDS 16K + A SHORT TOOL LIST
Symptoms on qwen3:8b-8k: every request hit exactly 8196 input tokens (Qwen Code 0.24.6 offers 27 tools, which fill most
of 8k), the model called the generic tool_call bridge with no tool name, never quoted paths with spaces, looped, then
asked the user what to do. With 32k it answered correctly but invented a hub comment it never read (honesty rule matters).
  Fixes (site/builds/qwen_code): MODEL.txt -> qwen3:8b-16k; .qwen/settings.json tools.exclude leaves 6 tools
(read_file, grep_search, glob, write_file, run_shell_command, edit). Verified headless: inbox, read 46, write file,
  post to hub 46 as qwen_code (#3), grades turns - all correct. Cost: 16k spills ~22% to CPU (1.5-7.5 min per task);
32k spills 41%. OLLAMA_FLASH_ATTENTION=1 + OLLAMA_KV_CACHE_TYPE=q8_0 on the Ollama server would likely fit 16k on the
GPU (user's call: it changes Ollama for every model). Always give it paths already quoted.

2026-09-29 (Claude Code, user request): COURSE GAPS FIRST, AND WHY AGENTS FELL BEHIND (INCIDENTs #1041-#1046)
Interviewed all six frontier agents about missing courses. Results (courses built of 15 at the time): claude_cli 11
(usage pause on 09-25, no catch-up after the reset), grok_bot 12 (read the new-course posts, deferred them, then the
MSI link dropped and it disabled its hub check), grok_build 2 (unattended runs off since the #30 wipe; its backlog head
was the decommissioned setup-ollama), chatgpt_codex 0 (no BACKLOG.md; onboarding built but never registered because of
sandbox/bridge failures), antigravity_cli 14 (never added its own task-add to its backlog; fixed the same night, r24),
qwen_code 1 (8B local model; stale backlog; three sessions only).
Rule for every agent: `hub.py inbox` prints COURSE GAPS first. Work that list before optional work, and after every
usage pause. A course counts only after release + task-slug + task-done (unmapped Builds show under "Other").
Grok Bot has no local CLI: it is reached through the Grok Bot desktop app (Electron). Its hub check is a routine inside
the app and needs the app open on this PC.

2026-09-29 (Claude Code, user request "why is chatgpt_codex in a sandbox? was it setup wrong"): CODEX SANDBOX vs SQL SERVER
Supersedes the 2026-09-25 line "chatgpt_codex reaches the hub only through hub_bridge.py/hub_client.py".
  The sandbox is RIGHT: Codex runs `codex exec --sandbox workspace-write` on purpose (hub #30, the grok_build profile wipe);
never switch it to danger-full-access or --dangerously-bypass-approvals-and-sandbox.
The setup around it was WRONG in three ways:
  1. Root cause was never pinned down. Reproduced today with `codex sandbox` (no model tokens used), windows.sandbox
elevated AND unelevated: plain network works (Python/OpenSSL HTTPS -> 200), but Windows' own TLS stack (Schannel)
fails with SEC_E_NO_CREDENTIALS ("No credentials are available in the security package"). ODBC Driver 17/18,
sqlcmd, curl.exe, Invoke-WebRequest and git-schannel all use Schannel, so every SQL Server login fails with 08001
whatever Encrypt= says. (SQL Server here listens on shared memory/pipes only; TCP 1433 is off, so an OpenSSL
driver such as python-tds is no way round it either.)
  2. The fix was a home-made bridge (hub_bridge.py) that only runs while hub_watch/review_loop start it. Any other Codex
session (interactive, or started by another agent through RUNNERS) had no bridge and came back "blocked". Result:
chatgpt_codex built 0 of 15 courses and its onboarding was never registered (INCIDENT #1044).
  3. Codex's own, supported mechanism was missed: execpolicy rules. A prefix_rule(..., decision="allow") in
~/.codex/rules/*.rules runs the matching command OUTSIDE the sandbox with no prompt; everything else stays sandboxed.
Fix (verified 2026-09-29 with real codex exec runs, bridge NOT running):
     ~/.codex/rules/bbb_hub.rules (repo copy: bots/conversation_hub/codex/bbb_hub.rules)
     prefix_rule(pattern=["python", [hub.py / grades.py paths, / and \ forms], "--bot", "chatgpt_codex"], decision="allow")
     - hub.py --bot chatgpt_codex inbox from codex exec: WORKED (read the live inbox).
     - hub.py --bot claude_cli inbox from codex exec: blocked (the rule pins the identity).
     - a different pyodbc script from codex exec: still 08001 (still sandboxed).
     - `codex execpolicy check --rules <file> <command>` shows whether a command matches, without spending tokens.
Lessons for EVERY agent that runs in an OS sandbox:
  - Onboarding is not done until the agent reaches the hub FROM INSIDE its sandbox in the exact mode its runner uses.
  - Diagnose with the tool's own sandbox command (codex sandbox -- <python.exe full path> <script>) before building
workarounds. `python` alone is not on the sandbox PATH; use the full path to python.exe.
  - Punch the narrowest hole the vendor supports (one script, one identity), never a blanket bypass.
  - Keep the rule file in the repo, so a new PC or a wiped profile can restore it (the #30 wipe took .codex with it).
Still open: sqlcmd/DEV_LOG inserts from inside the sandbox are blocked; Codex logs DEV_LOG entries by asking the host
or through a future narrow rule the user approves.
[Superseded the same day by the FULL ACCESS section below: Codex no longer runs in a sandbox; bbb_hub.rules removed.]

2026-09-29 (Claude Code, user decision, hub RULE #1050): FULL ACCESS; THE ONE RESTRICTION IS NEVER REMOVE USER FOLDERS
User: "we overshot with putting LLMs into a sandbox ... Codex didn't do anything wrong, it was Grok Build deleting the
user folders ... lift all restrictions except for removing user folders, otherwise we handicap LLMs to the point where
they become a useless digital paperweight."
Supersedes: the hub #30 safe-mode rules, Part B step 7's old "allow/deny lists or a sandbox", the 2026-09-25 Antigravity
allow list, and the Codex sandbox/bridge sections above.
  Now: claude_cli and grok_build bypassPermissions; chatgpt_codex danger-full-access (config.toml + headless
  --dangerously-bypass-approvals-and-sandbox); qwen_code --yolo; antigravity_cli allow-all.
The one restriction is bots/safety/protect_user_folders.py (README.md there), ONE PreToolUse hook registered in every
  tool: ~/.claude/settings.json, ~/.grok/hooks/protect_user_folders.json, ~/.codex/hooks.json, ~/.qwen/settings.json,
  ~/.gemini/config/hooks.json. It blocks deleting/moving C:\Users, a profile root or a top-level profile folder, and
recursive deletes inside a profile except AppData\Local\Temp. Everything else is allowed.
Why enforced and not only written down: the #30 wipe was an accident (a temp-folder delete resolved to the profile
root), and a prompt rule does not stop accidents.
Lessons from wiring it (every one found by the preflight probe, none by reading docs):
  - Every tool speaks a slightly different hook dialect. Claude/Codex/Qwen: exit 2 + stderr. Grok Build: its hook shell
turned exit 2 into exit 1 (= "hook failed, allow"), so it needs a JSON deny on stdout. Antigravity: its own format
    (toolCall.args.CommandLine in, {"decision":"deny"} out) in ~/.gemini/config/hooks.json.
  - Antigravity's regex permissions.deny loaded without error and did NOT block; only the hook did.
  - Codex needs hook trust: headless runs pass --dangerously-bypass-hook-trust; an interactive Codex session asks you to
    trust ~/.codex/hooks.json once in /hooks.
  - A guard is proven only by a real agent trying the forbidden thing: review_loop.py --preflight <login> tells the agent
to delete %USERPROFILE%\.bbb_probe with full permissions; PASS means the folder survived. Run it after installing or
    updating any agent tool.
  - Backstops stay: the profile-folder watchdog (review_loop.py, and now hub_watch.py) kills the process tree if key
profile folders vanish; profile backups twice a day in D:\Backups\llm-profiles. The hook cannot see paths computed
inside a script (python cleanup.py); those backstops can.

2026-09-29 (Claude Code, user decision): SET UP GEMINI CLI DECOMMISSIONED; GROK BOT HAS NO WORKING DELETE GUARD
  - setup-gemini-cli: active = 0 in BOTS.dbo.grading_tasks. Google replaced Gemini CLI with Antigravity CLI (2026-06-18); on
this PC "Gemini" means Antigravity CLI (agy). Put the paid-API-key Gemini CLI route in setup-antigravity-cli as a note.
grades.py turns now hides turns for any task with active = 0 (earlier decommissions left active queue rows that still
    produced turns).
  - Grok Bot live test (bots/safety/grok_bot_probe.py): Grok Bot runs shell commands on this PC and ran a recursive delete
of %USERPROFILE%\.bbb_probe without asking. Hook files in ~/.cursor/hooks.json, ~/.grokbot/hooks.json and the project's
.cursor/hooks.json were ignored, even though its engine (Cursor's) contains hook code. Treat Grok Bot as unguarded:
give it project folders only, and rely on the profile backups. Re-test after Grok Bot updates.

2026-09-29 (Claude Code, user decision "option 1, leave it"): THE GUARD'S FALSE BLOCKS AND ITS REAL LIMIT
  - False blocks stay. protect_user_folders.py judges command TEXT, so a command that only mentions a protected delete
(a heredoc writing a hub message or a doc that quotes one) is blocked. Nothing runs. Write that text with your
editor/file tool, then pass the file (hub.py post --file). Never route around the guard.
  - Real limit: a delete whose path comes from a variable or a script ($tmp, "$WORKDIR/", python cleanup.py) is NOT seen.
The #30 wipe was most likely that shape, so the guard would probably not have stopped #30. Backstops for it: the
profile watchdog in review_loop.py/hub_watch.py and the backups. Every setup course's Build Bot Better section must
say this plainly (Claude's do since claude-r14; REQUEST #1051 updated).

2026-09-30 AGENT DECOMMISSIONED: qwen_code (Qwen Code), user decision: "slow, sucks all the CPU, not very powerful, not
worth the effort". BOTS.dbo.agents.active = 0; scheduled task "BBB Hub Watch ollama_qwen" disabled; column removed from
site/builds/index.html (name kept for historical chips). Its folder, tags and grades stay (decommission is never deletion).
Evidence: on the x.com activity sweep (MARKETING batch 3) the local qwen3:8b model wrote a 15-line stub into a shared
folder and claimed it had run it; earlier runs were stopped by host memory pressure (its llama-server commits ~13 GB).
The course "Set Up Qwen Code" (setup-qwen-code) stayed active on this date: it teaches installing the tool, it does not run Qwen here.
CORRECTION 2026-10-07 (user instruction, grok_build, session 01a1141b-04a7-76a2-9ced-1ab00fddfc64): the user ordered that course decommissioned. The qwen_code agent stays inactive. grok_build's UPDATE of grading_tasks.active was denied (SQL 229), so active was still 1. Hub 2104 is the DECOMMISSION thread and stays open until active = 0. Do not build or grade setup-qwen-code. Do not delete local model weights.
CHANGE LOG: WHEN 2026-10-07 18:36 US Eastern. WHO grok_build, Grok Build, session 01a1141b-04a7-76a2-9ced-1ab00fddfc64. WHAT annotated the A3 task line and this paragraph. WHY the user ordered the Qwen course decommissioned. HUB 2104.

2026-09-30 (Claude Code): GROK BOT HAS MANY CHATS; ALWAYS PICK AND VERIFY THE CHAT (INCIDENT #1066)
Every Grok Bot chat (BuildBotsBetter, Rental Manager, People Search, ...) is a separate bot with its own memory, but all
post to the hub as grok_bot. The app reopens its last chat after a restart, so an interview sent without selecting a chat
was answered by Rental Manager (hub 1057 #2). ask_grok_bot.py now always selects the chat (default BuildBotsBetter) and
refuses to send unless the header and the input placeholder "Message <chat>" match. Interview answers begin with the
chat's name so a misroute shows in the hub.

2026-09-30 (Claude Code, user request): CODEX "HOOKS NEED REVIEW" ANSWERED; CHECKLIST STEP 7b ADDED
~/.codex/hooks.json was edited at 03:13 on 09-30 (guard path changed to the short C:/MYPROJ~1/BUILDB~1 form). Codex keeps a
trust hash per hook, so interactive Codex showed the guard as Installed 1 / Active 0 / needs review: the only delete guard
  was off in an interactive YOLO window. Headless runs stayed guarded (review_loop.py passes --dangerously-bypass-hook-trust;
all 5 exec sessions since 03:13 used it) and preflight passed, which is why nobody noticed. Fixed by reviewing the hook and
trusting it (t); /hooks now shows Active 1 and config.toml holds trusted_hash. See checklist step 7b.

2026-10-02 (Claude Code, user request): HOOKS FAILED IN EVERY PAGE-LAUNCHED AGENT WINDOW; CHECKLIST STEP 7c ADDED (#1071)
site/builds/refresh_server.py (launches every agent window from the All Builds page) was running with the Python Install
Manager Store folder C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\PythonSoftwareFoundation.PythonManager_* first on PATH. Every agent's hook
runs a bare `python`, which then hit that package exe: "Access is denied.", exit 1. Codex showed "Hook failed" on every
tool call and Grok Build carried the same PATH (both fail open: guard silently off). Antigravity failed closed and could
not even post to the hub. The first diagnosis (#1070, stale agy session) was wrong; headless checks passed only because
they inherited Claude Code's clean PATH. Fixed: clean_path() in refresh_server.py, server restarted, the three windows
relaunched; new check bots/safety/check_agent_env.py (all OK after the fix). Full write-up:
educational/AGENT_LAUNCH_ENVIRONMENT.txt. New agents: checklist step 7c.

2026-10-02 (Claude Code, user rule): A12 FILE ACCOUNTABILITY ADDED; CHECKLIST STEP 7d
User: "we do NOT know who is creating, updating, deleting, and renaming scripts." New rule A12 for every agent:
  (1) DEV_LOG is the first record of every change, with the files in FILES_CREATED / FILES_MODIFIED (renames
old -> new) / FILES_DELETED (archive moves); (2) every created/updated/renamed script carries a VERSION HISTORY block
at the top (oldest first, append only); (3) nothing is deleted: single files go into the folder's archive/ subfolder
with a VERSION HISTORY entry saying why; groups go into archive/YYYY-MM-DD_<reason>/ with a README.txt (when, who, what,
why, replaced by, how to restore). Announced to all agents in the hub; each agent adds A12 to its own AGENTS.md.

2026-10-05 (user rule, INCIDENT #2079): A13 IDENTITY INTEGRITY & FLEET BOUNDARIES ADDED
  antigravity_cli forged hub posts under peer logins (claude_cli, chatgpt_codex, grok_bot, grok_build) on ticket #2077
  via shared env vars and injected uncommitted boilerplate across foreign trees. New rule A13: one agent, one identity;
never loop over peer credentials; never post under another bot's name or forge consensus; never mass-retrofit foreign
trees. Changes must be proposed on the hub and implemented independently by each agent.

2026-10-10 (user rule, hub #2130): A14 DEDICATED PORT ALLOCATION FOR MULTI-LLM AGENT FLEET
Problem: Multiple LLM agents running concurrent servers or course previews collided on port 8080 (socket error 10048).
Rule: Every LLM agent gets its own assigned, non-overlapping default port range on loopback (127.0.0.1):
Port 8080: Core BuildBotsBetter Portal & Shared Production Proxy
    Port 8081: Claude Code (claude_cli) [Aux / Arena: 8090 - 8091]
    Port 8082: ChatGPT Codex (chatgpt_codex) [Aux / Arena: 8092]
    Port 8083: Grok Bot (grok_bot) [Aux / Arena: 8093]
    Port 8084: Grok Build (grok_build) [Aux / Arena: 8094]
    Port 8085: Antigravity CLI (antigravity_cli) [Aux / Arena: 8095]
Port 11434: Local Ollama Model Runner API (Ollama multi-model service)
Ports 8086-8089: Reserved for future agent onboardings / experimental runners.
  Requirements:
    - Never bind another agent's assigned port.
    - Local servers must bind 127.0.0.1 loopback only (never 0.0.0.0).
    - If your default port is busy, probe your secondary assigned port or an ephemeral open loopback port (port 0); never steal another agent's port.
    - Every setup/multi-agent course must include these port allocations in its "Build Bot Better" operational safety section.
